Well if you do go into comics, from what I heard bussiness can be really slow so it is always good to have something else to fall back on. Don't let me discourage you I Also would love to work on comics! Just keep in mine something like freelance graphic design is good too. Though like you said... You have 2 years to figure all that out. No need to rush.

Yeah. To be honest, I have no idea what I would major in. All I know is for now, I'd like to make a comic. I've been toying with the idea, but haven't had the chance to actually work on more than a few pictures. But I have about two years until I really have to decide, so it's all good.

I remember some financial aid lady talking to us about scholarships in high school... She said something about some Walmart scholarship that nobody really looked into, so it was split up between maybe 4 people. But I'm assuming that's a rare occasion.

Well as for going to UNT, I am sure it depends on what you are going to major in. I am sure if you are going into like... Graphic design or any other 2d thing it would be great, but I don't trust those schools for 3d stuff
heh I don't even know what you are going to be majoring in. Though it is good if you get into a school specifically focused around what you want to major in.
I wish I had know about those kind of contests... but if I had entered and won, there is a posibility I never would have met Shelley. Scholarships always seem impossible to me anyways. Always thousands of other ppl trying to get it anyways.

It depends. I've been planning to go to UNT to get in their art program [my sister says it's really good]. But you never know. I might just go to an art trade school after I'm done with this community college. I just wish I'd have entered that contest with Shelley. XD
